Wellbeing & Family Support

We understand that every child and family may need additional support at different times. We are committed to providing a caring, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and able to thrive.

If you would like support or advice, please contact our Family Support Worker. We are here to help and will always do our best to ensure every child and family receives the support they need.

Wellbeing Provision Across School

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at The Abbey Primary School.

Our whole-school approach includes:

  • Embedding our 5 Bees Core Values across school life
  • High-quality PSHE education for all pupils
  • The Hive of Wellbeing, where every child identifies five trusted adults they can talk to if they have a worry
  • Daily meet-and-greet opportunities for children and families
  • Nurture group provision
  • Positive praise and reward systems
  • Sensory baskets in every classroom to support regulation and readiness for learning
  • Access to the Success Centre during lunchtime for additional emotional support or quiet time
