SEND and Inclusion
At The Abbey Primary School, the inclusion of all pupils in all aspects of school life is at the heart of our core values.
We strive to identify pupils' individual needs as early as possible and ensure appropriate support is in place so that every child can succeed. We endeavour to achieve maximum inclusion for all children, including vulnerable learners, whilst meeting their individual needs.
Teachers provide differentiated learning opportunities and resources that are appropriate to children's interests and abilities. This ensures that all children have full access to the school curriculum.
Our curriculum supports and develops children to be creative, ambitious and resilient, regardless of their individual needs. Staff work hard to support and develop children's emotional, social and academic needs to the highest standards possible.
Working in Partnership with Families
We work closely with parents and carers to identify additional needs early and put support and interventions in place as quickly as possible.
Our SENDCO, teaching staff and support staff work collaboratively to ensure the individual needs of all children are met within an inclusive environment.
Working with Specialist Services
We access support from a range of highly trained professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
This collaborative approach helps us provide effective support and meet pupils' individual needs.
